Job description - the role

On behalf of Deutsche Bank, we are looking for a Security Programme Manager for a 6 months contract based in Birmingham (Hybrid).

Purpose of the role:

Program Manager's responsibilities, which include supervising the implementation and continuous improvement of Cyber Hygiene (vulnerability and security configuration management) practices across the organization.This oversight extends to ensuring that these practices align harmoniously with the organization's business objectives and remain compliant with relevant standards and regulations.

The Program Manager's primary objective is to establish a strategic Target Operating Model (TOM) for Cyber Hygiene, while concurrently fostering stakeholder engagement.Throughout this process, they will diligently uphold a vigilant and comprehensive perspective on the program's progression.

Key responsibilities

  • Discovery and Strategic Planning:
    • Conduct a thorough analysis of existing cyber hygiene processes and practices.
    • Develop a high-level transformation plan, encompassing timelines and milestones, to enhance cyber hygiene practices across the organization and ensure alignment of transformation plan with current commitments to the organization and vendor agreements.
  • Milestone Alignment and Delivery Management:
    • Coordinate closely with vendors to ensure adherence to predefined milestones and deliverables.
    • Monitor and report on progress against these milestones, offering strategic insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Multi-Layered Program Management
    • Cyber Hygiene Team Restructuring and Organizational Change: lead an agile-driven reorganization of the cyber hygiene team, showcasing leadership in fostering adaptability and efficiency.
    • Cyber Hygiene Target Operating Model Delivery: direct the deployment of the TOM balancing vendor collaborations with critical business/process transformations. Implement effective communication strategies and stakeholder management to facilitate seamless transitions and optimal operational functionality.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Track record in delivering transformation and organisational change projects.
  • Experience in Security projects.
  • Financial services experience also useful but not essential.
