I am recruiting an experienced Senior CAD Engineer to join my client's expanding team in either Lisbon, Portugal, or Barcelona, Spain.

As a Senior CAD Engineer, you will play a crucial role in advancing their digital design methodology, with a focus on supporting and evaluating EDA tools, establishing, and maintaining design flows, and implementing various scripts. The ideal candidate should possess a strong foundation in digital design flow, coupled with proficient programming skills.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Develop design flows to facilitate SoC designs across diverse semiconductor technologies.
• Assess and optimise digital design tools for both existing and novel design flows.
• Create, enhance, and manage scripts and utilities to streamline design processes.
• Provide ongoing maintenance and support for EDA tools, actively troubleshooting any issues.
• Collaborate on design projects, offering support and contributing to their success.
• Produce comprehensive documentation outlining design methodologies and tool utilisation.

• Extensive experience in digital design flow and proficiency with EDA tools, spanning from RTL to GDS.
• Familiarity with design methodologies for mixed-signal and SoC projects.
• Hands-on expertise in constructing design flows and delivering effective design support.
• Proficient in scripting languages and adept with software development tools.
• Strong verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or computer science (BSEE/BSCS), or master’s degree (MSEE/MSCS) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
