As an HR Business Partner at Wipro, you will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive HR support to the organisation. You will serve as a strategic partner to business leaders, aligning HR initiatives with business objectives, while also handling employee relations matters and HR generalist responsibilities. This role requires a versatile HR professional with expertise in employee relations, a strategic mindset, and the ability to build effective relationships.

You will play a vital role in managing employee relations matters, providing guidance to business leaders, and fostering a positive work environment. Your expertise in employee relations, combined with your strategic mindset, will enable you to drive meaningful change and support the overall success of the organization.

  • Employee Relations Management: Act as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters, including investigations, conflicts, disciplinary actions, and grievances. Conduct thorough investigations, gather evidence, and provide recommendations for appropriate actions or resolutions. Advise and guide managers on employee relations issues, ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies.
  • HR Business Partnership: Establish strong partnerships with business leaders, serving as a strategic HR advisor. Understand business objectives, challenges, and talent needs. Collaborate with leaders to develop and implement HR plans that drive organisational effectiveness and support business goals. Provide guidance on talent management, workforce planning, and change management initiatives.
  • HR Generalist Support: Provide comprehensive HR support across various functions, including performance management, employee engagement, talent acquisition, and HR policy implementation. Collaborate with HR teams to ensure consistent and efficient delivery of HR services. Support HR programs and initiatives, including training and development, employee onboarding, and offboarding processes.
  • HR Policy Implementation: Ensure compliance with HR policies, procedures, and employment laws. Collaborate with HR teams to develop and implement HR policies and guidelines. Provide guidance on policy interpretation and address employee questions or concerns related to HR policies. Monitor and assess policy effectiveness, making recommendations for improvements when necessary.
  • Employee Engagement: Drive employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive work culture and enhance employee satisfaction. Collaborate with leaders to identify opportunities for improving employee engagement and develop local strategies to address employee feedback. Implement programs, initiatives, and recognition mechanisms to drive employee motivation and commitment in the UK population.
  • HR Analytics and Reporting: Utilise HR data and analytics to drive insights and support decision-making. Generate HR reports and metrics to track key performance indicators and provide recommendations for improvement. Analyse trends and patterns to identify areas for HR intervention and develop strategies to enhance HR practices and processes.
  • Change Management: Support change management initiatives and organizational development efforts. Collaborate with leaders to effectively communicate and manage organisational changes. Provide guidance and support on change initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions and minimising resistance.
  • Strategic Projects: Contribute to strategic HR projects aligned with business priorities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support and implement HR initiatives that drive organisational effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Diversity and Inclusion Support: Support the Head of Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) to support the implementation of D&I strategies and initiatives in the region.
  • Build High Performing Teams: Partner with business stakeholders to build high performing teams, coaching line managers to create an environment which is clear on performance management.
  • Utilises the HR Shared Service Delivery model to ensure that the business and HR objectives are fully achieved.
  • Implements and contributes to continual improvement and innovation so that the business is recognised for developing and delivering excellent people practices.
  • Own the interface with Wipro HR teams supporting the UK&I Region to ensure HR operational excellence, maximum value for the business and a seamless and well understood cycle of HR activity for individuals.

The role holder will have a proven track record in establishing credible relationships with leadership teams and in managing complex ER issues,  They’ll have successfully operated in a large complex environments and be driven to play a key role in business improvement.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. CIPD certification is required.
  • Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or in a similar HR role, with a focus on employee relations.
  • Strong understanding of HR principles, employment laws, and employee relations practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
  • Strategic mindset and ability to align HR initiatives with business objectives.
  • Experience in managing employee relations cases, conducting investigations, and resolving conflicts.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret HR data and provide actionable insights.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain a high level of professionalism.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in HR information systems and analytics tools.
  • A strong communicator who is confident and articulate
  • Possess strong personal resilience and thrive in challenging environments.
