Capita is looking for an experienced Software Technical Consultant to work for our Mortgage Services operation, part of the Capita Experience division.

About the role:

We are looking for a Software Technical Consultant to work for our Mortgage Services operation, within the Capita Experience division, where we provide software to major financial services businesses in the UK and internationally. You will have Senior Developer experience working with an number of technologies & in teams.

What you'll be doing:

'€¢Design and development of key framework, infrastructure and functional components (both in house developed and 3rd party software), including requirements capture, specifications, code construction, unit testing, build, performance testing and deployment - following appropriate standards, and in line with technical system specifications, where applicable.'€¢Customer liaison, including investigating, understanding and documenting customer processes and requirements at a technical level, as well as guidance and resolution of complex issues.'€¢Ensure production of a quality product for our clients, including walk-throughs and code reviews, providing direction on development and control standards, and liaising with project teams.'€¢Product roadmaps and supporting future business, including supporting sales and development processes for new clients.'€¢Project support, including knowledge performance of testing, reporting on progress and issues / risks, post-implementation reviews etc.

What are we looking for:

'€¢.NET Framework/.NET & SQL Server proficient.'€¢Working knowledge of C#, ASP.NET core, MVC Framework, ADO.NET'€¢Excellent code and configuration development sills, as well as strong QA skills.'€¢Previous experience of working in an FCA regulated environment is desirable.'€¢Experience of performance, security and accessibility functionality and enhancements.'€¢Strong problem solver, able to think outside the box, and identify issues working to tight deadlines.'€¢Ability and confidence to deal with clients and third-party suppliers, communicating in a way that is understandable to 'non-technical' people.
