The Brakes Engineering Team, brings together expertise to specify, engineer and deliver braking system from concept to production that meet the customer braking attributes and regulatory requirements?. Our mission is to deliver Safe, Silent and Clean braking system working in close collaboration with Chassis, ADAS and Powertrain departments. Working within the product development global team, you will contribute to our award-winning products and play a key role in reimagining the future of modern luxury and the future of mobility.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Author, get stakeholder alignment and implement a Brakes V&V Strategy improving robustness and coverage of our activities.
  • Create map of all V&V activities and their respective effectiveness, create an aligned view point of coverage with CSI & Systems Engineering Teams.
  • Coordinate the purchase and deployment of new facilities and capabilities to be sure they are bring value at the right points in time.
  • Support team creating V&V plans with training, best practice and reviews through establishing a community of practice.
  • Provide technical support and assistance across the operational team on topics relating to validation and verification.
  • Work with the data analytics team to create data management strategy and future analysis capabilities. Accountable for day to day management of a small team of support engineers


  • Extensive experience in Validaton and Verification covering muliplte of the following: Vehicle Subjective, Vehicle Objective, Hardware in the Loop (HiL), Software in the Loop (SiL), Structural Rig test, Brakes Dyno, Model in the Loop (MiL), Driver in the Loop (DiL), 1D Simulation, MBS Simulation, FEA etc
  • Experience supporting the delivery of a complex mechatronic system 
  • Understanding of Systems Engineering Principles and Frameworks and their relevance to V&V.
  • Understanding of ways to score effectiveness of V&V methods (eg DE Ratings)
  • Proven ability to construct Validation and Verification plans (DVP)
  • Understanding business priorities to balance testing task for different programme and Team.
  • Understanding of the various concepts that can be titled "Digital Twin" and their application to this field.
  • Strong verbal and written communications
