Software Engineer (C/C++/Robotics)

Remote - Based in the South West and able to commute to Plymouth 2 days a month

£40,000 - £60,000 + Holiday + Pension

Are you a software engineer looking to join a small but growing business at this crucial stage that design technically fascinating products for the Marine and Technology Industry?

On offer is a Remote Software Engineer position, in which you will be completing software-based tasks focusing on end-to-end lifecycles and have the opportunity to work on technically advance marine vehicles. Your work will aid in the development of specialist Marine based technology and the ideal candidate will come for a software background, and experience within the marine or robotics industry is desired.

This business specialises in the research, design, and manufacturing of specialist marine equipment into a range of different industries worldwide They have grown rapidly since their founding and are still thriving through this period of economic uncertainty, investing heavily back into the business. So they can keep up with demand and future growth.

They are looking to bring in an additional Software Engineer to assist in the development of new technology and support the growth of the business. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of C/C++, Python and a basic understanding of Robotics, Sensor Integration and Web development (UI). Although not required, it is desirable to have experience with Data Formats (Protobufs…), Software Version Controls (Git, Github, Jira) and previous experience in Marine Robotics.

The Role:

*Software Engineer Experience

*Completing tasks within set deadlines

*Commutable to Plymouth for software testing when needed.

The Person:

*Sensor Integration (UART / RS232, I2C, Ethernet)

*Programming Experience (C/C++/Python)

*Web Development Experience

*Based in the South-West of England
