Salary: From £56,000 Depending on skills and experience

What you'll be doing:

  • Leading a PM/Business admin team in support of Platform Nuclear Engineering Dept. (PNED)
  • Managing funding streams across all Programmes and CAM- support
  • Prioritisation of work via ARM and JIRA
  • Toolset management: JIRA, CI database, ARM, Sharepoint and business process' across PNED
  • Resource management including Early Careers, succession planning, Organisation control, manage/facilitate training and support recruitment
  • Driving improvement plans

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Great organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of budget control including business case support
  • Experience of leading teams and or work streams across a range of stakeholders
  • Good working knowledge of enabling functions such as HR & Finance
  • Applying Problem solving in a Business environment to support a wider team

Desirable:

  • Experience in developing/Coaching teams and individuals for the benefit of PNED
  • SME on JIRA/ARM development/management
  • Suitable experience, or recognised qualification in a Project Management

The Platform Nuclear Engineering team:

As the Manager of the newly developed PNED PMO reporting to the Head of Dept, you and your team will be interfacing with both internal and external teams such as Capability (Engineering, Nuclear and PM), Engineering, Programme Controls, HR and partners. This is an exciting opportunity to foster new and existing relationships to coordinate a wide range of activities for the department. The work will be varied and offer opportunities to drive new improvements across a department that is growing to meet the submarines business demand.
