WHAT TO EXPECT

As a Lead Project Coordinator in the Virtual Build & Test Planning team, you will be part of a collaborative, iterative and agile environment within the Engineering Operations organisation.

You will be responsible for coordinating and managing the virtual build & test plan for our future vehicle programmes. You will also be responsible for coordinating CAE model build activities which are required for the virtual tests. You will work with engineering teams to plan and coordinate tasks, identify and resolve risks, report overall status and make recommendations. Having excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are essential for this role.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

The Lead Project Coordinator will be responsible for:

  • Generating, coordinating and managing the attribute level virtual test plan for CAD and CAE assessments.
  • Ensuring that all inputs required for the virtual tests are identified and delivered on time (e.g. CAD, Non-geometric data, CAE models etc).
  • Coordinating CAE model build activities which are required for virtual tests.
  • Ensuring that virtual tests are completed on time for the key programme milestones.
  • Ensuring that the results of the virtual tests are communicated and that test failures are captured for resolution.
  • Presenting the status of the virtual test plan in weekly reviews and programme meetings, including highlighting issues and risks.
  • Managing the specification of the virtual vehicle fleet.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Essential:

  • Previous experience of project management, planning and delivery is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.  Able to simplify information and clearly communicate to others, in person and through documentation. 
  • Excellent planning and organising skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.  Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and ensure tasks are completed on time.
  • Ability to engage stakeholders and build effective working relationships.
  • Able to motivate others to work as a team to achieve common goals.
  • Able to effectively solve problems, will engage with others and provide recommendations of how to overcome problems.
  • Self-motivated, highly driven and able to deliver with minimum supervision.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
