An excellent opportunity has become available for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join an Oxford-based start-up creating the next generation of hardware for AI acceleration using 3D Optical Computing.

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will have a number of core responsibilities that include:

Designing, analysing improving mechanical systems for products
Collaborating with cross-functional teams including optical and electronic engineers
Utilise CAD software to create detailed designs and engineering drawings.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Prepared detailed documentation

To be considered for the Mechanical Design Engineer opportunity you must have previous experience in mechanical design, analysis, and project management, proficiency in CAD software and simulation tools, have strong knowledge of mechanical principles, thermodynamic and material science, experience with optical systems and be able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
