Location: The post holder will have a contracted base of Liverpool or Darlington. The post holder may be required to attend their contracted office in accordance with the needs of the organisation.

Job purpose:
As a Senior Product Manager, you will develop and own the product roadmap for one of the DBS digital Services, make informed prioritisation decisions, champion user needs and effectively communicate the product vision in a complex delivery environment. You will work closely with the business leads third-party suppliers and existing digital services to seek out opportunities to optimise delivery whilst ensuring quality standards are maintained.
Corporate duties:
Develop and own the vision, backlog and roadmap for your product, regularly iterating the product to meet changing user-needs whilst maintaining alignment to the overall DBS strategic direction and GDS standards and guidelines.
Implement agile practices and processes to allow teams to collaboratively build the right thing in the right way.
Play an active part as a member of the Technology and Innovation Directorate, engaging with senior management representing the work of your team and demonstrate its contribution to overall organisation goals, change programme and tangible benefits to users.
Use agile and digital technology to deliver the product which meets user needs, delivers on performance, availability and which enables the user to succeed first time.
Set measurable and valuable goals for the product and report against these to demonstrate progress against stated benefits, ensuring the product continues to iterate and develop post ‘go live' to remain responsive to user needs.
Create effective, prioritised user stories and road map which meet user needs in a cost-effective way.
Get stakeholder buy in for the product and delivery approach.
Keep abreast of changes to user needs and behaviours across other DBS products and digital platforms to understand their implications for successful delivery of government digital services
Disseminate an understanding of the agile and digital working methodology including best practice and skills to both internal and external stakeholders.
Be actively involved across partner and user communities to promote the department's principles and foster a collaborative approach to solution delivery and user engagement.
