We are searching for a Data Governance Analyst for a marketing leading technology business that develops a wide range of software applications and solutions. You will be responsible for ensuring that their data is secure, complete, accurate, relevant, and reliable.You will develop reports and dashboards using PowerBI for internal data customers across Marketing, Sales and Finance. You will also monitor data quality across internal and external data assets making sure data pipelines are healthy.You will be responsible for data mapping, defining requirements for the movement of data between systems, the definition of business logic for data selection, the transformation logic, to be applied to the data in transit, the targeting of where the data resides post transfer and managing/defining the metadata that is created due to data movement.The role also involves the design and management of the client's data catalogue, helping to deliver a data knowledge management repository. Data governance definition and implementation is key to the success of the role, and you will work with various business units to put in place action plans regarding this.About YouTo be considered for this position you will have strong analytical skills and the ability to solve complex problems whilst building good relationships. You will have a track record of analysing, manipulating, cleansing, documenting, and advising on data migration across multiple IT solutions.You will require experience in the following areas to be a success in the role: -Prior experience with data cataloguing tools (i.e., Azure Purview or Unity Data Catalogue) or a strong desire to learn them!Experience of working with Data Warehouse systems, including how the data can be used to drive operational processes across sales, marketing, finance and other services.Experience of creating reports and dashboards using PowerBI.Good working knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL).Good communicator, able to consult with colleagues and customers, understanding needs and translating business requirements into technical data requirements.Our client is an award-winning software solutions provider offering this role on a remote/home-working basis with occasional visits to the office for collaboration meetings. Their main offices are based in Exeter and Reading, and you will need to be located a commutable distance of either office (at least one of them) or be happy to travel into one of these locations, occasionally, to be considered for the role.The role comes with an excellent benefits package and a competitive salary.
