Senior Developer

The Role

Sogeti are looking to grow the Application and Cloud Technology capability and require Senior Developers to join our team. You'll be responsible for designing and developing web applications, RESTful services, and APIs, as well as database and reporting applications. We're looking for developers who have a passion for technology. You'll work in a customer-oriented environment and be adept at understanding the business process and end-user perspectives for any solution to be developed.

Must Have Skills:

Strong development experience in .NET Core, C# and Angular for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications using these frameworks.

Good understanding of CI-CD design considerations and capabilities as well as tools such as Azure DevOps or GitHub

Familiarity with different RDBMs like SQL Server and/or Oracle DB

Experience of unit testing and its libraries like XUnit

Strong communication skills for engaging with customer stakeholders.

Ability to quickly learn new systems and business processes to understand customer requirements.

Experience with self-accountability for timely delivery of work.

Experience in delivering projects in an Agile (Scrum) environment.

Essential Skills:

Experience in Jira, Confluence, and TFS for project management, collaboration, and version control.

Experience of development tools including Visual Studio/ VS Code, SQL Management Studio and/or Oracle SQL Developer

Understanding of development best practices, including coding standards, commenting code, and creating reusable components with no technical debt.

Experience in providing work estimates using various techniques, including story points and poker planning.

Experience in delivering projects in an Agile (Scrum) environment.

Nice to Have Skills:

Understand Azure Services like Storage Account, Service Bus and Azure Functions

Experience in Containerisation services like AKS, Docker

Understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code setup using templates and terraform
