Are you skilled in database and data warehouse technologies with knowledge of ETL processing and database design? You have what this role needs! You will join the Data Warehouse team, handling the development, testing, and productionisation of ETL processes into the data warehouse. You will be working with high-volume, complex, health-related data sets in an exciting and challenging environment using the latest cloud technologies.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will support the sourcing, extracting, transforming, loading, and providing access for data within the NHSBSA's data warehouse(s). The post holder will use their expertise to provide highly complex data to drive the development of business intelligence and insight. The post holder will be an expert in data from within the NHSBSA and will liaise with data experts from partner organisations.
The post holder will provide expertise and specialist advice to IT and business service colleagues to ensure data are extracted from a wide range of business systems and transformed for loading in the data warehouse. They will advise, and develop plans, with project and data analytics teams to deliver data requirements to improve information, data analysis and reporting. They will investigate and resolve data issues and anomalies between data sets.
The post holder will develop and deliver plans to manage appropriate access to data within the data warehouse and data analytics environments so that data security and integrity are maintained. They will use a range of manual and automated data movement tools and techniques and will work with very large datasets containing data which contains highly sensitive information.

Knowledge of Oracle data types and Data Definition Language (DDL)
SQL skills
Scripting
UNIX - Linux/Solaris
Data governance and data quality
Extract, Transform and Loading of large datasets
Oracle database privileges
Oracle Datapump and SQLLoader
Able to formulate plans which cover a range of activities including prioritisation of activities
