What - Security Engineer Where - Our client will offer a hybrid model of working When - Actively seeking appropriate profiles now Our Client is looking for a talented security engineer to join the team and help protect their sensitive information from external and internal threats. You will be responsible for identifying and mitigating potential security risks across multiple platforms, including Windows, MacOS, Linux, iOS, and Android. As a Security Engineer, your responsibilities will be the following:
Implement and maintain effective security protocols to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems and data.Perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify potential threats and ensure compliance with industry standards.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security best practices and ensure seamless integration of security measures across different platforms and technologies.Develop and maintain security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.Monitor and respond to security incidents, including incident response and forensic investigations.Stay up-to-date with emerging security threats and technologies, and continuously improve security posture across the organisation.What you'll bring:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent work experience.Minimum of 3 years of experience in an IT security role or related field.Strong knowledge of cloud environments, endpoint protection technology, Protective Monitoring/SIEM/SOAR, and other security technologies.Broad knowledge of technologies and operating systems, including familiarity with common OS (Windows, MacOS, Linux ), web app vulnerabilities and the OWASP top 10.Experience as a sysadmin or developer is desiredExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively to identify and mitigate potential security risks.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.Relevant certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC, are a plus.If you are passionate about cybersecurity and have a proven track record of implementing effective security measures, I would love to hear from you!
