Pricing & Business Intelligence ActuaryLocation: Office to be based in either Bristol or the Midlands - Flexible/Hybrid Working
Experience required:
* Qualified or nearly qualified Actuary - we will also consider an individual thats paused exams but has senior analyst experience and meets other essential criteria
* Ability to understand and alter code in modelling software/Excel/MS Access
* Experience in building models via Excel or in actuarial software packages to deliver specific output
* Appetite to learn and use BI software to deliver analysis and outputs
* Good communications skills - ability to communicate effectively with a non-technical audience.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work with a growing FTSE 100 insurer - were looking to recruit a Pricing & Business Intelligence Actuary within our clients Business Pricing team. Reporting to a Senior Commercial Actuary you will be using large data sets to keep an eye on trends in mortality, persistency and sales mixes that could affect our clients Protection business lines, and monitoring the risks to which these books are exposed.
You will be involved in steering the direction of our clients "open book" arm, taking a lead in pricing activities, and overseeing the production of effective and insightful Management Information (including new business profit reporting).
This is a role with a strong commercial focus where you can put your actuarial knowledge, management skills and your analytical and modelling skills to great use, and where your findings and recommendations could influence future business direction.
