Capital Modelling Actuary
Location: Remote
Salary: Up to £90k per year
Start date: 3 month notice periods can be accommodated


Duration: 12 month initial contract with a view to convert to a permanent position if the contractor desires

Company client currently working on 3 new fixed term contract opportunities with a leading life insurance business.

This is a fantastic opportunity for any permanent candidates with 3 month notice periods to take a leap into the contracting market

Salary: Up to £90k per year with plus 16% bonus up to 32%, private medical cover, 38 days annual leave, excellent pension, 12x salary life assurance, career breaks, income protection, 3x volunteering days and much more

Assignment:

* As a Capital Model Actuary, you will support the maintenance and development of the clients capital models, engaging with a wide range of senior stakeholders to ensure our models adapt to the evolving needs of the business.
* You can expect a role that requires you to blend your good technical capabilities with good people and project management skills.
* Your day-to-day will be varied - you could be contributing to strategic initiatives, interacting with the regulator, performing deep technical analysis on market risks, presenting to governance committees, coaching and mentoring actuarial trainees, and so on

Experience required:

* Nearly qualified or newly qualified life actuary.
* Experience of developing and maintaining internal models.
* Experience of working in market risk calibration or methodologies will be desirable.
