We're on a mission to build the bank of the future, and we need your help to do it! We're creating exciting opportunities in Data and Machine Learning to modernise our data platforms and tooling using data to deliver against our purpose in an ethical way.

About the role:

You'll be joining as a Data Engineer, right at the beginning of our journey to modernise and transform our data ingestion pipelines working alongside a multi-functional team, collaborating closely with the business, product owners and other engineering teams.You'll build high quality, reusable streaming and batch data pipelines at scale, to ingest and curate data into re-useable data products.You'll help shape our architecture by using the most appropriate modern toolsets available to LBG.You'll work with our technology partners to ensure that what you build is sustainable and easily supported.You'll need to show a real passion for developing new solutions and translating data into business insights - role-modelling Data Engineering as it should be in the new digital age.

Skills and Experience:

We want to grow our team of data engineers, so we'd be looking for you to have experience in some of the following areas:An understanding of big data and/or data warehousing architecture, with hands on experience of building batch or real-time data pipelinesKnowledge and experience in the following technical skills: Java, SQL and Python.Solid understanding on any public cloud, preferably Google Cloud Platform (including components such as GCS buckets, BigQuery, Cloud Dataflow or equivalents).Experience with agile development methods & toolingExperience of using modern software development toolsets including DevOps, Continuous Integration and Delivery If you are an experienced software engineer and have a passion for data and a learning mindset, we would welcome applications from candidates who don't fully match the above profile.We are an equal opportunity employer and deeply value diversity within our organisation.We will ensure that individuals with disabilities are provided reasonable accommodation to participate in the job application or interview process, to perform essential job functions, and to receive other benefits and privileges of employment.
