About the role:

If you are an experienced and competent M&E Engineer who likes a variety of work predominantly in the commercial arena, then this could be the role for you. We are looking for an M&E Engineer who already possesses a good skill set and qualifications, but would also like to continue their professional development within our company. We need an engineer who is adaptable to the job type and ready for a challenge, as we work with a range of clients in a domestic, commercial, and industrial capacity. Typical jobs would include electrical installations including conduit and drop work, 3~phase installations, lighting and emergency lighting upgrades, plant room refurbishments, installations of water softeners, commercial boilers, office and warehouse fitouts.

First and second fix installations.

Instalment and manipulation of conduit and trunking systems.

Fault finding.

Working at heights e.g. cable drop installations, lighting upgrades.

Cable pulling and management.

Assist the team and follow instructions from your line manager.

Following manuals, schematics, diagrams and blueprints to complete installations and repairs.

Carrying out EICR testing and completing the relevant digital paperwork.

Emergency light testing.

Installing light installations: emergency, high level, exterior, SMART.

Installation of commercial gas boilers, pump sets, water softeners.

Maintenance and services of commercial gas systems.

Servicing of LPG boilers.

Installation and maintenance of A/C systems.

Ideal Requirements:

Good customer service skills: face to face, by phone and email.

Demonstrable and excellent communication skills.

Good organisation skills.

Able to work accurately and to deadlines.

Ability to collate and to produce reports for the management team.

Ability to act responsibly and to our health and safety standards and procedures.

Work well as a team member, but also receive instructions well and work independently.

Hold AM2 qualification, 18th edition, testing and inspections.

Have knowledge of working with Apple products.

Possess understanding of design and methodology of electrical installations.

Forward thinking.

Good level of practical skills.

Gas Safe Card.

ACS Commercial Gas Qualifications.

Heating & Ventilation NVQ.

CCLP1 qualification/CoNGLP1.

Industry 4.0 and IIoT.

We will also need you to have flexible working hours, as we do fulfil night shifts when requested by the client - hours are adjusted accordingly, with fewer hours required before overtime comes into effect. The working week is also adjusted to allow for recovery days. We also work with flexible hours to cater for any appointments or prior commitments you may have.
