Site Reliability Engineer / SRE London / WFH to £90k

Site Reliability Engineer / SRE (AWS Kubernetes) *Remote / Hybrid WFH*. Are you a technologist with strong AWS and Kubernetes skills seeking an opportunity to progress you career in a hands-on SRE position?

You could be joining a hugely successful European eCommerce with a customer base of over 7 million.

As a Site Reliability Engineer / SRE you will join a small team responsible for the end-to-end health of systems and services that are available 24x7; collaborating with Software Engineers, Product managers and Architecture teams in an Agile environment to deliver improvements to service availability, performance, security and cost of cloud services (AWS).

You'll build and configure tools to enable automated deployment, management and monitoring of the core platform for online services, ensuring that infrastructure platforms are secure and can scale to support growth and spikes in transactions during busy seasonal periods. You'll work to eliminate of limit single points of failure and respond quickly to new security threats.

Following a remote interview you'll be able to work from home most of the time, joining colleagues in the London office 3-4 days a month with flexibility.

Requirements:

You have experience in a similar technical role, running AWS services

You have experience of working with Docker and Kubernetes

You have coding skills with at least one of the following: Node.js, Python, C#, Java

You have a good understanding of serverless architecture technologies e.g. Lambda, DynamoDB

You have experience with CI/CD systems e.g. Jenkins, Gitlab or GitHub Actions

You have strong problem solving skills

You're collaborative with great communication skills
