SQL Server Developer -An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a talented, well-rounded SQL / BI Developer to join a global leading client as their team expands. With over 40 years' experience in their industry, you would be joining a well established team working on a highly innovative and exciting product - that all started with experimental projects from a group of university researchers. They have now built themselves to be world leaders in their field.With a highly collaborative team culture and the opportunity to liaise with different departments within the business, this role will be operating on a hybrid model to enable you to interact with various different teams. You will have the opportunity to work from home 2 days per week, with the remaining 3 in their Surrey-based offices.The role will be dealing with several different technical requirements including their BI Development, Database Management and Database Administration work - providing a good level of variety in the project work. You will spend around 30% of your time doing Database Administration tasks with the remaining 70% purely on the Development projects.You will be involved in all aspects from database design & architecture, the design & development of data warehouses, SQL Server troubleshooting/performance tuning/optimisation, as well as stakeholder management work. Essential Skill-Set -We are looking for people who have strong experience in the below technologies:SSIS - development experience with SSIS is essential, using it for ETL / building pipelinesReporting experience - in either SSRS or Power BI (other reporting tools will also be considered)SQL Server - ideally experience with 2000 through to 2019Stakeholder management experience Desirable Skill-Set -There are several other technologies that would be beneficial to have experience in, but by no means essential. It would be useful to have:PowerShell (at any level)SSAS (tabular models)Previous experience with Database Administration roles - or completing tasks such as troubleshooting, optimisation, dealing with licenses etc.Knowledge of High Availability & Always On groups Salary and Benefits -This role is offering up to £60,000 (depending on experience)Annual Bonus SchemeFlexible working - core hours32 days holiday + bank holidaysPrivate Medical & International Travel InsuranceAnd much more!
