Junior QA Tester / Software Engineer Billericay to £40k

Junior QA Tester / Software Engineer (Regression Testing OOP C++). Successful E-commerce payments solutions company is seeking a Junior QA Tester / Software Engineer to join their friendly and supportive team. There are huge opportunities for growth and progression within this role and you'll be able to learn new skills and technologies as you progress.

As a Junior QA Tester / Software Engineer, you will spend the first 6 months of your role focussing on regression testing and learning how to create automation tests to ensure the company's payments product is working as it should for customers. You will then move into a Software Engineering role, being taught how to code in C++ to build and maintain features and functionality for hosting services and point of sale software. You will analyse performance, reliability, and usage issues and will assist with improvements of the current embedded devices whilst working collaboratively with your team to deliver clean, testable, maintainable code.

The company is based in Billericay, Essex however, you'll only need to go to the office 2 days a week (Mondays and Tuesdays).

Requirements:

You are a talented technologist with an engineering experience using an OOP language, ideally C++

You are degree educated in Computer Science or a STEM subject (2:1 or above)

You have strong organisation and planning skills with meticulous attention to detail

You have excellent communication and collaboration skills

You have strong problem-solving skills
