Engineering Manager Basingstoke to £80k

Engineering Manager (Scrum Agile Developer). Are you a sports fanatic? Would you like to be part of an exciting software company that is at the pinnacle of sports technology?

As an Engineering Manager, you will be joining an innovative company that builds graphical sports products used at major sporting events globally. You will focus on creating an engineering environment where the development teams can flourish and build exceptional products and solutions for some of the most complex problems across sports technology. You won't be fixed to one team but will instead move around all engineering groups allowing you to gain exposure to the company's core products and work with some of the best engineering minds in the industry. Within the teams you will be responsible for improving the engineering practises, building strong relationships between the teams, championing Agile and Scrum methodologies, organising hackathon days, having regular 1 to 1s and reviews, and overall developing a high performing engineering group.

The company has multiple offices including Basingstoke and Bristol. You can work remotely for most of the time with the expectation of you attending the office (ideally Basingstoke as this is where the development groups predominately are) 1 day a week.

Requirements:

You are likely to come from a development / engineering background, although this is not essential

You have strong knowledge and understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies (you may be a Scrum Master who is looking to take that next step into management!)

You understand how development teams work and can communicate well with technologists

You have strong leadership and people management qualities

You have excellent communication and collaboration skills

Nice to have: C++, Computer Vision, Graphics
