WHAT TO EXPECT

We are looking for an EDU Design Integration Manager that will be responsible for managing the EDU Integration team that will ensure compatibility of the EDU to the system-level requirements.

You will possess the ability to lead a multi-disciplinary team of engineers working in an Agile framework, to ensure geometric compatibility, entitlement to meet system performance and demonstrate quality using evidence base engineering reviews.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Lead the EDU integration team to deliver the following accountabilities -

EDU geometric compatibility:

* Create and publish skeleton models to define EDU component architecture
* Regular publication of full assembly models in line with sprint cadence
* Support vehicle package reviews
* Complete virtual build events
* Complex tolerance stack completion


Resolve incompatibilities through arbitration between teams:

* Lead resolution of issues which cross multiple component groups through the integration design review


Support EDU prototype builds with required tooling and documentation:

* Prototypes assemble tooling design and procurement
* Tasked to build manual creation
* Instrumentation requirements and fitting manual


EDU system validation:

* Create test requests as required by the DFMEA
* Compile evidence from a test, and load the test report to the corporate repository


Manage system level DFMEA:

* Lead DFMEA reviews
* Ensure actions are robustly closed
* Ensure lessons learnt are correctly captured in the DFMEA


Weight management:

* Agree to system-level weight target with the powerpack team
* Decompose weight target to component subsystem
* Manage risk and opportunities to ensure compliance with system target


Design for manufacture and launch support:

* Ensure design meets manufacturing requirements
* Support manufacturing team during the launch phase


Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential -

* Extensive experience in delivering technical products through a team
* Extensive experience in project management
* Some experience in budget and target management
* Degree or relevant equivalent experience preferred


Desirable -

* Proven ability to build and manage multiple internal and external relationships in complex stakeholder environments
* Previous experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry
* Experience in Agile project delivery
* Detailed knowledge of EDU design
