Data Analyst (Treasury)

A financial organisation is current recruiting a Data Analyst who has experience working within the Treasury department of a financial corporation. The ideal candidate must have coding capabilities in Matlab, Python, R, Java or SQL and be able to design, build and run management information reports. If you do not have direct treasury experience within a front office environment, our client would also consider someone who has worked with in other areas of finance / banking, i.e. Risk, Mortgages, Savings either in Front Office or Middle Office with good data analysis / coding capabilities.

The key purpose of this role is to build and manage the data analytics that will strengthen risk management and balance sheet optimisation; lead on the design, development and implementation of value add analytical tools, develop and build enhanced analytical tools t as well as driving the data and system enhancements necessary to implement the changes required.

Core responsibilities:
Manage the framework of analytical tools within the Treasury Front Office including data, systems and processes.
Design, develop, execute and monitor a roadmap of analytics development to deliver the teams strategic objectives.
Build management information using data manipulation, system configuration and coding, utilising various coding software e.g. MATLAB, Python, R, Java and SQL.
Engage with the wider Treasury Front Office team to validate the appropriateness of existing processes and make enhancements where required.
Be the Project Manager for all Treasury Front Office systems related project deliverables
Represent Treasury Front Office to internal and external key stakeholders in key projects.
Ensure that you fully understand and comply with the organisation's Risk Management Policies as they relate to your area of responsibility and demonstrate in your day to day work that you put customers at the heart of everything you do.

Maintain the company's compliance standards and ensure timely completion of all mandatory on-line training modules and attestations.

Core skill set:
Advanced knowledge of coding and data analytics programmes (e.g. Python, MATLAB, and R) is essential
Specialist knowledge of data and analytical tools is essential
Advanced skills in respect of system configuration, scripting and coding are essential
Ability to produce high quality management information is essential
Advanced skills in respect of data analysis and manipulation are essential
Advanced skills in respect of building reports is essential
Advanced skills in respect of process design are essential
Advanced project management skills are essential
