We now have an exciting opportunity for an IT Hosting Infrastructure Architect based in Newport. The IT Hosting Infrastructure Architect performs the technical/functional design of the hosting infrastructure components of a new solution according to the defined functional design. They will align IT architecture with the organization's business goals and long- term strategic planning for the organization's Information systems Role responsibilities: Performs the technical/functional design of the hosting infrastructure components of a new solution according to the defined functional design, addressing any issues related to ICT security and performance, and taking charge of the software and hardware installations, specification, testing and service transition Assessing existing hosting infrastructure to ensure they meet business requirements, predicting and overseeing infrastructure or software upgrades based on business needs Delivers the global design including technical requirements, principles and models that guides solution design for the IT Hosting Product, in line with the Enterprise Architecture guidelines in strong collaboration with Technology Specialists. Collaborates with other Architects, systems analysts, and developers to deliver the highest quality solutions via cutting edge technologies. Acts as visionary to proactively assist in defining the direction for future IT Products & Services and validates product designs. Analyze business requirements to identify where they can integrate new hardware, operating systems, or connectivity solutions. Aligns architecture strategy with the organization's business goals and long- term strategic planning for the organization's Information systems. Participates in all phases of the infrastructure development life cycle including research and design, development, testing, implementation and support. Also in evaluating the success of the project, identifying best practices and lessons learned. Maintains alignment between business evolution and technology developments and services to ensure capacity of IT solutions according to SLA. Develop Innovation Roadmaps, and effectively manage risk throughout the innovation lifecycle. Devises innovative solutions for the adoption or integration of new technology and/or ideas into existing products, or services or for the creation of new ones Partners with stakeholders and customers across the organization to inform the product vision, strategy, features, and prioritization.
