Primary Plant EngineerContract - 6 months minimumProgressive Global Energy are working with a global leader in HV and HVDC technology.They are currently looking to recruit a number of Primary Plant Engineers for new build on and offshore substations as part of their wind farm connection portfolio. They are looking for candidates with the following skills;HV or HVDC industry experienceDesign Engineering backgroundStrong knowledge on High Voltage substation international standards & guidelines (IEC, CIGRE…) and related equipmentKnowledge of switchgear, transformers etcAutocad experienceIdeally Revit experience (but this can be learnt on the job)The main responsibilities of the role include:Design optimized substation & buildings layouts integrating all the required equipment considering their installation, operation, and maintenance constraintsDeliver substation & buildings general arrangements and civil guides as per project planningSupport continuous improvement within plant engineering disciplineThis is a very exciting opportunity as they are using cutting edge technology. The client are happy for you to work remotely, but you do have the option to go to their office in Stafford.

This is being offered as a contract role but there is up to 3 years work just on the current projects they have secured.
