CAD Technician

Office Based, commutable from Newark, Southwell, Nottingham

£28,000 - £32,000 + Industry Training + Autonomy + 25 Days Holiday + Long Term Career Development

This company has been established for over three decades and is now a well-known market leader in their industry, they specialise in the manufacturing of bespoke electromechanical products for high end, commercial clients across the UK. Due to continual success of the business and exciting plans for large scale expansion, they are looking for a motivated and creative Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team to offer a fresh and innovative approach to their products.

Reporting to the senior engineers and the design manager, you will be producing detailed site layout drawings for bespoke electro mechanical products, using AutoCAD. You will also have the responsibility of creating bills of materials, amending and updating any existing drawings, carrying out site surveys, and assisting the shop floor with any technical problems when necessary.

The Role:

* Produce and amend 2D site layout drawings for clients

* Produce calculations to assist with the designs

* Manage projects and assists on the shop floor when necessary

The Person

* Confident using AutoCAD 2D

* Ideally has some knowledge of welding techniques (not essential)

* Looking for a long term career with a company
