What you'll do
This is an exciting and dynamic role for a Senior Mobile Application Developer to manage the Mobile application developers in Optivo's design and development team reporting to Head of Design and Development.
Within this role you will manage part of the Application Development team ensuring tasks are completed in a timely manner and within the time frame set out by the business. You will also be in charge of ensuring the Development and support of complex business applications providing business benefit whilst implementing applications which would be more cost effective for the business.
In addition, you will
Recommend or design structures and tools for application needs.
Deliver technical visualisation of proposed applications for approval by customers.
Translate logical designs into physical designs, and produce detailed design documentation
Use knowledge of database concepts, object and data modelling to establish, modify or maintain a data model
Inspire, lead and be a role model, consistently demonstrating the Optivo culture and values
Manage, motivate, support, and develop the team, leading by example to ensure excellent services are provided in line with organisational policies.
Manage your team / department spend within agreed budgets and deliver value for money at all times
What you'll need
Degree or equivalent experience in a related subject.
Good experience of developing self-service or mobile solutions that integrate to business systems and platforms
Significant software development experience using one or more languages or platforms
Detailed knowledge of database engines such as MS SQL Server
Knowledge of Windows based operating systems
Experience of designing, maintaining and supporting Relational Databases.
Knowledge of developer tools or platform such as Visual studio, SharePoint and PowerApps
Knowledge of integration techniques such as web-services
Experience of Agile development such as SCRUM
Good Experience of: SQL; Application or Web Programming; Low code platforms
Good knowledge of: .NET Visual Basic; C#; Java; Jscript; HTML; XML; CSS
Good knowledge of the system components and interfaces being integrated.
Good appreciation of project management techniques
Ability to implement mapped business processes using industry standard software and formats
Willingness to be flexible
Able to deal effectively with unexpected situations in a timely manner
