Excellent opportunity for a senior electrical engineer to join a leading company who operate in the medical device industry where you will be given full autonomy and where you can stamp your mark on the electrical division.

This impressive SME are a medical technology development company based in Oxford, UK.

The position of Senior Electrical Engineer is responsible for contributing to the design and development of specialist class III medical device equipment and accessories as well as validation and verification activities.

The Senior Electrical Engineer will be a member of the technical team and will report directly to the Engineering Manager and, will collaborate with the Software Team and the rest of the Engineering team for the integration of the electrical/electronic aspects of the retained unit.

The ideal candidate with have a proven ability to design, develop, test, and validate. Have experience in mixed signal, analog and/or digital circuit design and PCB manufacture and experience in RF power circuit design. Candidates will ideally have a background in class II or class III medical devices but candidates from a highly regulated industry are encouraged to apply.

The role:

*Putting design control in place.

*Changing the design as required for user need.

*Working with third parties to build the retained unit.

* Run specific technical projects in the company including designing, budgeting, scheduling, third party communication, delivering to plan.

*Provide technical leadership across the engineering department by sharing expertise and insight with other engineers as a subject expert mater in medical ultrasound.

*Manage contract manufacturers and deliver and integrate subsystems

The person:

* A proven ability to design, develop, test, and validate

*Experience in mixed signal, analog and/or digital circuit design and PCB manufacture

*Experience in RF power circuit design.

*Candidates will ideally have a background in class II or class III medical devices.

*Candidates will ideally have experience with ISO60601

* An BSc in electrical engineering or higher
