An opportunity has arisen for a Application Analyst / Systems Analyst to join a rapidly expanding technology driven organisation who are at the beginning of a large IT transformation programme. We are looking for a talented Application Analyst / Engineer to work on a range of projects and escalated support issues within a large corporation undergoing significant IT transformation. The application analyst / engineer must have a background in application support and strong troubleshooting and scripting ability. You will be involved in the investigation and improvement of various application consolidation projects and business improvements, escalated support issues from the service desk and new application deployments. SQL database queries, investigation, troubleshooting and troubleshooting and scripting knowledge is essential. We're looking for someone who can find solutions to problems and improve processes / how things are done. Technical Skills:The successful candidates will ideally have a sound understanding of general application support / analysis and will have strong knowledge of back end database technologies (primarily SQL Server) It would be desirable to have experience of SSRS / SSAS/ SSIS, although this experience is not essential and can be learnt on the job. Programming / scripting experience with Powershell, VBScript or any similar language and software deployment experience with technologies such as SCCM would be beneficial.Any knowledge of SAP, Dynamics, EPOS systems, Salesforce or Power BI would also be beneficial, but not essential. Above all, the Application / Systems Analyst will be a great communicator, keen technologist and have a hunger to problem solve, investigate and troubleshoot.
