Reporting to: Head of QA
Division: IT The Purpose of the role: The Post Office Limited (POL) require an experienced Test Centre of Excellence (TCoE) Manager to drive and lead the TCoE. The ideal candidate has experience in test transformation and change management. The role will assist the Head of QA in driving change in the newly formed test capability at POL and across other areas of the organisation with a goal of pivoting from defect detection to defect prevention. Principal Accountabilities Support the Head of QA in defining the standards, processes and tools that will be applied across testing activities in POL Define the skills and capabilities applicable to all test resources in POL Working with POL L&D team to develop learning pathways for test resources in POL Provide virtual leadership and support to test resources across POL Provided a project support role to deliver the implementation of IT Change. Accountable for assuring business test process/cycle is followed. Line management of TCoE team within the test capability Qualifications, Experience and Skills Good knowledge of project management methods The ability to find ways of solving or pre-empting problems and lead from the front Ability to deal with significant levels of business complexity A business quality delivery focused outlook and strong all round business acumen Confident communicator, both written and verbal Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels Ability to multi-task and work on own initiative Self-motivated to make a difference and committed to development of test team and capability Setting up the TCoE vertical within the QA organisation Working with the Head of QA to set achievable objectives and roadmaps for the QA team Analysis and selection of tooling in line with TCoE objectives Train and upskill the business and users in the use of test tooling Train and upskill the business and users on testing best practices with the Head of QA About post office The Post Office has thrived at the heart of high streets and local communities across the UK for over 370 years.
