IT ManagerA highly reputable professional services corporation is hiring an IT manager responsible for the daily operations and oversight of the cyber security theme/cloud /on-premise infrastructure within a multi-million corporation. The ideal candidate will have worked in a similar-sized environment (100 to 150 user base) and have substantial experience in technologies such as 365, Intune, Azure, Darktrace, Mimecast and VOIP (but not limited to). You will be responsible for managing a small team, covering multiple specialisms within Ops (Data, Cloud, Security, Virtualisation, Storage, and Back-Up). Initially, the role will be 60% technical and 40% managerial but will evolve into a less technical position with the scope to move into an IT Operations Manager. This role pays between £65,000 to £80,000 with a bonus potential of 34% and hybrid working options. This vacancy will be based in West London with office hours between 9 am - 6 pm.
To be considered for this role, you must have demonstrated proven experience within service desk/desktop/infrastructure support and be able to provide incident management, strategy, governance, capacity planning and resourcing for a small to medium sized corporation who have several internal project on going (cloud migrations, zero trust network, data warehouse platform, cyber upgrade etc.).
Core responsibilities:
Operational responsibility for the whole IT infrastructure at Head Office and portfolio marketing suites, ensuring a high level of customer service is maintained whilst delivering a smooth and timely support experience.
Assist the Head of IT in the budget process and creation of various management reports
Management and development of various processes, including third-party cyber security risk and IT risk management (conducting meetings with the broader business, maintaining the risk register etc.)
Identify and take action to mitigate risk, ensuring adequate controls.
Develop and improve infrastructure (inc network design), services, policies, procedures and processes
Essential:
Strong technical leadership capabilities (must have)
Equivalent to 10+ years' experience of service desk/desktop or specialised IT Operational support experience or similar role
Technical knowledge of operational infrastructure (Azure/AWS, Virtual Data Centre), devices (laptops/ virtual desktops) and other systems used (Windows 10, server 2016-19, Azure AD+hosting, Intune, Office 365 suite inc Teams, Defender, AOVPN and Sharepoint) (must have)
Experience with Microsoft power platform (especially PowerBI) and Oracle/Azure databases desirable
Understanding of cyber security, GDPR and privacy best practices (must have)
Darktrace, Forcepoint (DLP/CASB), Desktop central and AD Audit
Mimecast and Tessian email security
Experience managing a service delivery function
Experience in running incident, request and change management (must have)
ITIL, Microsoft and VMware qualifications are desirable
