If so, then please see below… Senior Electrical Design Engineer Falkirk £65k Progressive Engineering and UK Specialist in Engineered Solutions for Process & Infrastructure Applications are looking to recruit a Senior Electrical Design Engineer for their Engineering Centre near Falkirk, owing to significant business growth and project pipeline for 2023-27+. Based near Falkirk and reporting into the Electrical Engineering Manager, the Senior Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for the electrical design on multi-disciplinary "Design & Build" project, from concept through to commissioning, ensuring that design solutions comply to customer, regulatory & industry standards Key Responsibilities of Senior Electrical Design Engineer Role: Design & delivery of Electrical Solutions on multi-disciplinary design & build projects to meet customer requirementsPreparation of electrical/ICAdesigndeliverables and equipment procurementformulti-discipline projects including; Piping and Instrumentation DiagramsControl PhilosophyPLC/ SCADA System Architecture Diagrams (Siemens/Rockwell)Power/Load SchedulesPLC I/O schedulesElectrical Single Line/ Block Cable DiagramsMotor Control Centre/Local Control Panel SpecificationsInstrument schedulesLoop DiagramsDSEAR AssessmentsSubcontract development and management for Motor Control Centres, System Integration, Telemetry etcCompliance with design specificationsCarry out site surveys and produce detailed technical reportsQualification & Experience Required for Senior Electrical Design Engineer role: HNC / HND / Engineering Degree in Electrical Engineering (or Equivalent), relevant to subject knowledge.Prior Broad knowledge of the designing complex Electrical & Control systems for Process Applications (Food, Drink, Pharmaceutical, Water, Utilities, Chemical, PetroChemical etc)Electrical design experience in the following areas:Electrical Controls Systems & Panel Design & Layout - General Arrangements, Detail drawings, Schematics Diagrams, Interlock Diagrams for typically PLC & HMI hardware, MCC - Motor Starters & Drives, Safety Circuits, Instrumentation and Power Distribution.Circuit breaker and Cable type sizing specificationRemote I/O & Industrial communication networksInstrumentationSafety circuit designExperience of electrical design to industry and/or regulatory codes, standards etcExperienced in design software packagesKnowledge of Electrical Safety Standards / Electrical Safety would be an advantage.
