A Software Architect is urgently sought by this leading communications and networking company to be based at their new R+D facility in the centre of Munich. The Software Architect will be responsible for defining and developing Linux based software architectures for emerging wireless connectivity and networks that will be used to connect the growing number of smart devices in the home to the cloud. Working closely with Software Development and Chipset Engineers the Software Architect will be developing next generation architecture specifications plus modifying the existing architecture. Your skills will include an expert knowledge of Linux kernel and driver development, networks and wireless communications. This will include hands on Linux kernel and driver development using C preferably gained in a wireless communications / IoT (Industry 4.0) environment. You should also have experience delivering complex software / system architectures including requirements management and architecture definition. Exposure to architectural ‘trade offs’ would also be beneficial as would any experience working with the open-source community.
