My client is a Global Insurance Provider based in the UK and they are on the market looking for Senior Technical Pricing Analyst to join their newly form Pricing Team. This team is responsible for driving analytics and business insight that help underwriting decisions.

This role sits within the technical team focused on the creation of modelling to provide insights to pricing decisions.

Role:

* Leading pricing analysis and modelling projects to deliver pricing and underwriting recommendations into the business.
* Influencing stakeholders in the wider business to deliver budgeted volume and profitability targets over the underwriting cycle.
* Coaching less experienced members of the team
* Being a key point of contact for product and portfolio underwriting managers and work with them to develop pricing models
* Taking accountability for the performance of all pricing models used for your products.
* Monitoring performance, developing, executing and maintaining regular segmented analysis to improve understanding of profitability by cohort
* Executing and maintaining analysis in terms of quote conversion, policy retention, and claims experience, and analysis of competitor behaviour.

Skills needed:

* Excellent knowledge of programming and statistical tools such as Excel, SQL and Python
* High level of numeric competence and excellent data gathering and manipulation skills
* Strong analytical pragmatic reasoning skills
* An aptitude for innovative problem solving
* Experience of working with Underwriters
* Experience using Guidewire
