An up and coming challenger Bank are looking for a Development Manager to join their growing teams on a hybrid basis in Birmingham.
Role & Responsibilities:
Managing a team of Salesforce and RPG/EBS Developers, Salesforce Administration and Middleware, to deliver all application related changes and enhancements on time and to budget and drive utilisation upwards.
Accountable for the Testing function to ensure that robust quality controls are applied across all developments and processes.
Accountable for Middleware Development ensuring scheduling of development activities for system integration working closely with the system Architecture team.
Deputise for the Head of IT when necessary and cover the required strategic, management and monitoring activities as and when required.
Role Requirements:
Excellent knowledge of Banking systems and processes working within Financial Services. Experience in a leadership role within a technology function focussing of project delivery.
Proven experience of managing and delivering technology changes for complex projects or programmes
Past experience of hands-on application development now managing effective development teams
Solid knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle and implementation of its best practices within smaller development teams.
Extensive Application development experience
Good understanding of integration between multiple systems.
Good understanding and experience of agile methodologies and DevOps practices with development teams
Analytical and methodical approach to demanding technical challenges
Ability to manage work from inception to completion.
Salary & Location:
£65-75k
11% Pension
