A leading financial services corporation is currently recruiting an Enterprise Architect to lead an IT application/system consolidation project for a recently merged medium-sized corporation. The ideal Enterprise Architect will have strong experience architecting/designing solutions within Application/Service Architecture within an on-premise (Citrix/VMware) / cloud environment (Azure/AWS) to create one central application for our client. This is a challenging/exciting position which offers greenfield architectural responsibilities.

The Enterprise Architect will provide the necessary thought leadership, analysis and design related to developing a well-managed enterprise architecture. Creating deliverables that help develop a direction for managing the organisation's portfolio of "as-is" and "to be" to align business outcome objectives.

This is a permanent contract paying between £87,000 to £105,000 per annum + excellent benefits + generous 25% bonus + hybrid working to be based in Chatham.

Role overview/responsibilities:
                     Understand business drivers and required capabilities (future and current state), and determine corresponding enterprise system designs and change requirements to drive and support the business strategy.
                     Design and lead the adoption of Enterprise Architecture across the line of business applications and technologies. Manage and develop the architecture for a broad scope of projects, working closely with application development and support teams.
                     Provide consulting support to application architects within projects to ensure the project is aligned with the overall enterprise architecture.
                     Monitor the current-state solution portfolio to identify deficiencies or lifecycle issues through aging of the technologies.
                     Understand technology trends and the practical application of existing, new, and emerging technologies to enable new and evolving business and operating models.
                     Understand, advocate and augment the principles of information technology strategies.
                     Analyse the technology industry, competitors and market trends, and determine their potential impact on the enterprise.
                     Define the principles, guidelines, standards and solution patterns to ensure solution decisions are aligned with the enterprise's future-state architecture vision.
                     Identify the organisational impact (for example, on skills, processes, structures or culture) and financial impact of the enterprise architecture.
                     Ensure that you fully understand and comply with the organisation's Risk Management Policies as they relate to your area of responsibility and demonstrate in your day to day work that you put customers at the heart of everything you do.
                     Ensure that you fully understand and comply with the organisation's Data Governance Policies as they relate to your area of responsibility and demonstrate in your day to day work that you treat data as an important corporate asset which must be protected and managed.

Essential skill set:
                     Seven or more years' experience with IT architectural disciples in Application/Service Architecture, Solutions Architecture, Systems Architecture, Business Architecture, Information/Data Architecture
                     Strong experience in developing/documenting Architecture Roadmaps, Standards & Patterns, Business problems including Scope, Functional and Non-functional Requirements, Solution Design as well as detailed architecture Blueprints
                     Specialist knowledge of Financial Systems and associated platforms
                     Detailed understanding of 'off-the-shelf infrastructure-related products' ( Azure, AWS, Citrix, VMware etc. )
                     Advanced skills in integration, orchestration, Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) and micro services architecture, including best practices for enterprise systems
                     Advanced skills in using Architecture description languages (ADL's) to support enterprise modelling techniques (UML, ArchiMate)
                     Advanced skills in integration solutions & ETL with enterprise tools

Salary expectations:
