Our reward package

We're hiring for a Senior Test Analyst based in Exeter HQ with hybrid remote working.

As our Senior Test Analyst, your total reward package is potentially worth up to £45545.00 annually, which includes basic salary, RRA, potential corporate bonus and employer pension contributions.

Your starting salary will be £30932.00 and you will have opportunities to progress to £33925.00 over time.

In addition you will be paid £2,500 per annum as a market supplement to reflect the demand for your skills. You will be paid this market driven allowance from April 2022 until March 2024 in your monthly pay whilst performing this role.

Job Purpose

Hazards & Resilience are looking for a Senior Test Analyst to work in one of our development teams.

We are looking for someone to lead by example in effective manual and automated testing of critical products and services.

You will apply your expertise to help ensure we build the right thing and build the thing right.

You will guide best practice and the appropriate tools and frameworks for the job at hand.

You will contribute to a Community of Practice, encouraging knowledge sharing and championing test approaches that can benefit multiple teams and products.

As our Senior Test Analyst the key duties are to:

Lead by example in manual and automated testing of products and services.

Design and execute both functional and non-functional test cases.

Collaborate with the Developers, Technical Leads and Product Owners to advise on testing and any defects identified.

Work with the team to improve testing in our continuous integration processes.

Essential Qualifications, Skills & Abilities

Experience of efficient and effective design and execution of a wide range of functional testing techniques including test automation

Ability to identify and analyse defects, then help prioritise them based on their severity and work with others to resolve issues

Some skill in non-functional testing approaches

Ability to use a range of technologies such as cloud platforms, open source software and SaaS solutions to enable and enhance the delivery of testing services

Knowledge of how testing fits in with Agile methodologies and a continuous delivery approach

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to operate successfully with a technical and non-technical audience
