Business Intelligence Developer

As a trusted and preferred recruitment partner to this leading full-service law firm offering personal and commercial legal services, we have been asked to assist in the hire of a Business Intelligence Developer. Responsible for developing, deploying, maintaining BI Interfaces and reports with VWV. The candidate will play a vital role in a variety of tasks such as report development, maintenance updates and upgrades, translate business requirements into technical requirements, provide technical support and more. Reporting to the Systems Development Manager.

Required skills, knowledge and experience

*BI developer requires knowledge of the MS BI Stack having performed the role for at least 2 years, preferably in a legal environment.

Required skills

*Power-BI - develop, deploy and maintain reports to both on-premise BI Report Server and Power BI Service.

*SSRS - develop, deploy and maintain reports on-premise.

*SQL - Excellent knowledge of SQL required. Working with stored procedures, parameters and permissions highly desirable.

*SSMS/SSIS/Azure Data Studio knowledge highly desirable.

*Knowledge of Datawarehousing/SSAS/Azure Synapse desirable but not essential.

*APIs: Familiarity of working with REST/SOAP web services desirable.

*Experience of Application installations, configurations and management. Strong awareness of full application lifecycles.

*Excellent documentation skills with proficiency in process mapping.

Required knowledge and / or qualifications

*Minimum of at least 2 years' experience working within a BI environment (or similar), preferably in the legal sector.

*MS certification (Power BI Data Analyst Associate) highly desirable but not essential.
