FX eTrading Application Production engineer
Role is to be in charge of Linux global migration for the main FX Spot Market Making platform. This is a critical strategic migration for FX global business. It involves coordination of multiple teams globally to deliver the infrastructure, OS tuning expertise to optimize the performance, global deployment of NATS, a new messaging technology being introduced within the Bank.
Essential skills:
Scripting (Python, Shell, SQL....) and development skills for administration, monitoring and support tools
Knowledge of FIX protocol
Knowledge of Broadway Technology TOC product
Knowledge of Azul Zing product
Knowledge of ITRS Geneos monitoring systems
Good network and firewall infrastructure understanding
Good understanding of multicast messaging in a Tibco RendezVous environment
Ability to analyse network captures
Project management skills to deliver medium scale projects
Candidate profile:
Strong all-around IT background and proven experience in electronic trading markets on similar global FX eTrading environments
Strong understanding of Linux (Redhat) operating systems to be able to tune platforms for optimum performance (core pinning, kernel bypass,...)
The team provides technical support for all back-end components running on FX eTrading environments (more than 600 application servers - Windows and Linux).
The team also manages connectivity to many electronic trading venues (EBS, Reuters FX Matching, Currenex, CBOE-HotSpot, LMAX, Euronext FastMatch, Bloomberg, MOEX ...) and external clients.
Production systems are mainly installed in London, New York, Tokyo and Singapore, most of them live 24/5.
Follow-the-sun support model is in place, involving teams in London, New York, Montreal, Singapore and Mumbai.
