Senior Embedded Engineer with a knowledge of RF communications, reception and signal processing techniques now needed by a market leader in high performance communications. This is a 100% remote role and can be based anywhere in UK/ Europe. I am seeking a highly skilled Senior Embedded Engineer who has specific expertise in the development of radio frequency signal acquisition/processing/storage/retrieval, IQ data transport, direction finding and analysis systems used for spectrum monitoring and communications intelligence purposes. Suitable applicants should be able to meet the following skill set requirements: Experience or Skills:Extensive experience in design, implementation and testing of complex real-time multithreaded/multitasking/multicore embedded server software supporting multiple simultaneous clientsExtensive C/C++ software development experienceCross-platform programming for Linux and Windows targetsClear understanding of Synchronisation primitives, Queueing and task schedulingTCP Message based Client/Server communication Experience with FPGA co-processing and managing Interrupts/data blocks Clear understanding of ADCs, RF Receiver architectures and associated quality metricsRealtime hardware control and data acquisitionSCPI controlTCP/UDP Networking and socket level programmingAPI programming (developing and using)GUI design and programmingDesired Experience or Skills:
Xilinx Zynq and/or UltraScale+ development experienceXilinx FGPA development experience Extensive math, Digital Signal Processing (DSP) and RF communication signals backgroundRF system and Software Defined Radio (SDR) application and test experienceSignal analysis techniques and toolsPCIe and NVMe interfacesKnowledge of Signal Direction finding / Geolocation conceptsSuper REMOTE role with a TOP END salary on offer.
