Company Profile

Investment Management firm in the City of London, which is a Fortune 500 company, providing customers across the globe with services including execution and advisory services in Commodities, Capital Markets, Currencies and Asset Management is seeking a Software Development Manager.

Responsibilities

• Build partnership with stakeholders, drive product development within an Agile framework
• Provide timely updates to stakeholders across multiple projects
• Resolve variety of high impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards
• Develop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business, such as architecture and infrastructure, integrate to accomplish business goals
• Work with the Head of Enterprise Development on project and resource planning, team mentorship and growth, budget planning
• Contribute to architecture and technical direction, collaborating with other technology leaders
• Support continuous improvement to product development, investigate technology trends and present for architectural review
• Promote our SDLC processes and standards across the teams, strive for efficiency and automation

Requirements

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject
• Minimum 10+ years' experience within financial services
• Experience leading, building and mentoring global technical teams, providing direction and guidance
• Proven hands-on experience building large scale distributed applications built on React/Angular, Java/Spring boot/.Net Core
• Experience in developing low latency and high throughput APIs, understanding of integrating APIs with third party libraries/vendors and handle the security around it
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift) preferred
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure) preferred
• Experience building enterprise systems based on Microservices pattern
• Exposure with distributed messaging/streaming platforms (Apache Kafka, Active MQ)
• Experience with relational (Sql) and document (No-Sql) databases
• Ability to take initiative to research, learn and recommend emerging technologies
