I'm currently working with an FE College who are looking for an Interim Payroll Manager for a 3-6month contract, 5days a week onsite, and to start immediately based in Cheshire.

Day to day duties:

  • Ensure staffing, casual and overtime budgets are accurately monitored and reported upon.
  • Ensure that statutory requirements that impact on payroll/pensions (eg. gender pay reporting, living wage differentials and apprenticeship levy) are researched, project manager and successfully delivered to meet set deadlines.
  • Take responsibility for ensuring all statutory and pension returns, and the apprenticeship levy are submitted accurately to meet legislative requirements
  • Ensure the accuracy and accountability of data inputting and develop the knowledge of the Payroll Administrator
  • Keep up to date with changing legislation relating to payroll and pensions management and communicate this to relevant individuals to ensure compliance.

Person specification:

  • Hold a recognized CIPP qualification or relevant business degree
  • Have substantial relevant payroll experience
  • Demonstrable evidence of relevant IT Skills on Excel and Payroll system

Contract Length: 3-6months

Location: Cheshire

Day rate: from £200

Start date: ASAP
