IT Technical Service Specialist

About the role

My client, a nationally recognised and award-winning business, known for being a great place to work, is looking for a IT Technical Service Specialist to join the team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a regional patch of agencies / offices whilst forging close relationships and technically supporting their IT services. The successful candidate will be the voice of customers as well as manage the agency / office network.

This is a full time, permanent role paying a salary of up to £40,000 - £45,000 plus a company car, bonus and comprehensive benefits package.

The role will be primarily home based / field based however travel throughout your region to customer sites will be required.

We are looking for people based in the following regions: East, Northern Ireland, Scotland or the South East.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure that IT delivers an excellent experience for customers by managing and supporting the delivery of all IT Services to agreed SLAs, maximising value and cost effectiveness, in order to meet business objectives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal customer stakeholders in order to drive improvements and promote a service that exceeds expectations.
• Proactively engage with your area of responsibility with a combination of face to face meetings and regular communication to take ownership of meeting customer expectations, handling issues and escalations through to resolution.
• Contribute to the successful and effective delivery and adoption of key change programmes across the business, offering a hands on, local attentive personal IT service to guide and support customers and maximise value realisation.
• Drive continuous improvement in performance and service across IT by influencing decision makers and key IT delivery teams, including Business Relationship Consultants, Technology Adoption Specialists, representing the customer in order to deliver increased value and service to our customers.

Key Experience and Knowledge required:

• Strong experience in a similar IT Specialist or Senior IT Field Engineer type role
• Experience of stakeholder management at all levels including at an exec / senior level
• Experience of successfully managing performance and relationships
• Sound and broad knowledge of ITIL (desirable)
