Backend Software Engineer London / WfH to £80k

Backend Software Engineer / Developer (Python Flask API AWS) *Hybrid WfH*. Are you a skilled Backend Software Engineer seeking a senior, hands-on role?

You could be progressing your career at a MedTech start-up; the core product is an app to empower cancer patients manage their health and well being throughout their treatment. It intelligently integrates data on medications, symptoms and side-effects with lifestyle data such as exercise, sleep and diet, using AI to understand patterns and triggers in the data as well as enabling direct access to medical staff.

As a Backend Software Engineer you will collaborate with the tech lead, frontend developers, designers and the product manager to make key decisions to inform technical strategy. You'll be a key, hands-on member of the product and engineering team delivering complex software as a medical device, integrating Machine Learning techniques and building continuous integration processes.

There's a remote interview process and you'll be able to work from home most of the time, meeting up with the team in the London office around once a week.

Requirements:

You're a skilled software engineer with strong Python development skills

You have experience of Flask API development

You have a good knowledge of SQLAlchemy / PostgreSQL, Pulumi, IaC, Docker, AWS

You place a heavy emphasis on code quality and ideally have experience with Detox testing and CircleCI

You're collaborative and have a genuine enthusiasm for technology
