Electronic engineer- Medical devices Nottingham £50'000-£60'000 + Hybrid working model + Pension + progression + holiday Are you an electronic engineer with significant experience of digital circuit design and layout using Altium? Do you want to work for a company whose products are so cutting edge they will pave the way to revolutionise surgery across the globe? The goals and objectives of this company is to be the global leader in the engineering, research, development ad design of advanced medical devices, which will improve the safety and surgical outcomes of complex surgical procedures. In this role you will be responsible for the design, development, testing and design management of cutting edge medical devices which will pave the way to revolutionise surgery. The ideal candidate with have experience in analog and digital circuit design using Altium. You will also have experience in implementing high-speed/ high bandwidth digital interfaces. This is a great role for an electronics engineer to join start up with you will be technically challenged but more importantly play a key role in their growth and development. The role: *Working within a small team to develop system specifications and designs. *Delivering high-quality schematics and PCB layouts. *Delivering fast turn around proof-of-concept circuits, when appropriate. *Delivering high-quality design documentation according to medical regulations. *Contributing to role-specific R&D planning. *Developing and performing testing, and other quality assurance tasks. *Working with external suppliers for both prototypes and volume quantities. *Debugging and fixing issues found from field testing and deployments. Working with management on managing and developing intellectual property. The person: *Significant experience of digital circuit design and layout within Altium. *Experience in implementing high-speed / high-bandwidth digital interfaces. * Detail-oriented, and willing to relentlessly optimise and miniaturise PCB layouts, in cooperation with mechanical design engineers. *Experience writing firmware for microcontrollers, and perhaps PC-based test applications. *Candidates will ideally have experience working within a start up or medical devices.
