Get paid to train and work as an AWS Developer (Java)

Nearly a third of all internet activity is now hosted by Amazon Web Services (AWS), meaning Developers trained to use AWS are some of the most in-demand professionals in tech. If you're interested in building new things and creating elegant solutions in the cloud, then this paid training and placement opportunity with Revolent is for you.

We're looking for experienced IT professionals who are interested in cross-training in AWS, on a two-year program that includes paid training, certifications, and work placement with some of the best name brands in tech.

The opportunity

Over 12 weeks, we'll provide you with the initial training you'll need to get you up to speed with AWS and Java, and support you to gain your industry certifications as a AWS Developer. We'll then place you with our client, to give you that all-important work experience that will help you stand out in the job market.

Plus, as part of our commitment to creating incredible talent as an AWS Partner Network Training Provider, we'll give you with a tailored learning and development plan and your own personal career development coach, to help you become the best at what you do.

Once you're fully trained and certified, you'll work as a Revolent AWS Developer with one of our clients to automate deployment tasks, build new environments with Elastic Beanstalk, CloudFormation, and other tools, design cloud native applications, and support clients to migrate on-premises applications with best practice in mind.

Who we're looking for

To apply for this program, you'll need at least 1 year of experience in object-oriented programming, preferably Java, and experience working in an Agile environment. Experience in either banking, financial services, or in full-stack development is preferred, but not essential.

Ideally, candidates will also be able to demonstrate experience with some of the following technologies/methodologies:

• AWS/Cloud
• Spring Boot
• Apache Kafka
• Oracle database
• JIRA

To apply for this program, you'll also need to be:

• Willing to commit to a minimum of two years' working with Revolent, post training
• Living within a commutable distance of Radbroke or Northampton (this is a hybrid working position and candidates will be expected to work in the client's office 1-2 days per week)
• Available to start training in late May 2022
