The company are very rewarding and offer brilliant training and progression schemes for a candidate looking to grow in the business.The client is looking for a Cable Design Engineer to add to their growing team and will be involved in the development of various cable system designs on the HV transmission network. You will be liaising with clients and network operators, colleagues, and senior management in carrying out designs for projects as well as tender submissions that are up to the company's high standards and within a timely fashion.The ideal candidate will have experience in a consultancy and design role with cable systems of 33kv and higher. Considerable experience using CYMCAP within the Power Systems industry is necessary. A degree at a minimum of 2:1 within an Electrical or Power Systems discipline is essential.The company are looking for someone who can hit the ground running but are willing to provide training for an ambitious and motivated individual.This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to work in a company that appreciates their employees and gives back for their hard work.The role:

*Overseeing the development of various cable system designs on the HV transmission network

*Liaising with clients and network operators, colleagues, and senior management in carrying out designs for projects

*Building and maintaining DNO and TNO relationships including attending meetings with clients

*Maintain health and safety standards and continue to build upon the reputation of safety and quality in the business.The person:

*Degree at minimum 2:1 in Electrical/Power Systems discipline

*Experience in a consultancy and design role in the Power Systems design

*Experience on projects of 33kv and higher

*Experience with CYMCAP

*Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work on a tight deadline
