A new opportunity has arisen for a Senior RF IC Design Engineer to join an established and successful Semiconductor manufacturer. Based in their design centre located in the scenic area of the French speaking part of Switzerland, the Senior RF IC Design Engineer will be working on the development of state-of-the-art low power RF SOC products used in consumer, industrial, medical, and automotive applications. As a Senior RF IC Designer you will be tasked with providing guidance on concepts and implementation and will serve as the RFIC design leader within a highly skilled team of Analog, Digital, and Software Engineers. You will also be responsible for the implementation of novel and innovative RFID Analog and RF functions, leading Mixed-Signal verification, performing silicon validation and characterisation and supporting production qualification. Your main responsibilities will include:
Define state-of-the-art RF IP architecture and circuits for next generation low-power IoT platform from conception and design through test and productionDesign, layout and test key circuits while coaching other engineers on the team towards a successful product implementation and production launchIntegrate RF IP within a larger SOC, package and PCB while mitigating coupling and emissions issuesProvide RF expertise within a team environment of other designers, test engineers, and a project managerDebug complex technical problems related to the radio section of the SoCs (interfaces, digital system, power management unit, packaging, etc)Supervise third-party contractors. Benchmark competitive solutions and IPs, study technology and standard trends, contribute to the BU’s wireless roadmapThe successful RF IC Designer will have a minimum of 7 years experience from within a similar position and will have strong experience in RF/Analog/Mixed-Signal blocks in deep-submicron CMOS including: LNAs, PAs, mixers, PLL, VCOs, crystal oscillators, data converters and filters in 22nm and below. Proven experience of designing low-power RF transceivers that have gone into production is required along with an understanding of wireless product requirements, conducting RF system analysis and breakdown along the signal path. Experience of using state-of-the-art RF IC design/simulation tools and methodologies is also required. You will have excellent communication skills in English with knowledge of the French language ideal.
