Mechanical Fitter (Training in Renewable Energy)Lincoln£38,000 - £44,000 + Van + Fuel + Full Training in Renewable Heating Systems + Pension + HolidaysAre you a Mechanical Fitter with heavy industrial or commercial experience and looking to join a company that will support you in advancing your career further within a highly specialised area of Renewable Energy and Power Generation?This leading business within the field of CHP and Biomass started off almost 10 years ago as a tight-knit team of 3 individuals with a passion for what they do. They have continued to grow since then and throughout the pandemic to secure new and larger contracts with key clients such as the National Trust and local councils.In this role you will be responsible for the installation, replacement and repairs of various commercial and industrial scale renewable/sustainable heating systems including Heat Pumps, Biomass Boilers and CHP Engines. This will also involve lifting using cranes, welding, bracket creation and organising repairs/replacements for things such as conveyors, augers etc.The ideal candidate will have several years' experience in a Mechanical Fitting position at a heavy industrial/production/manufacturing/power generation site working with large pieces of equipment such as generators, engines, boilers, pumps, pipework and similar. They will also be comfortable with staying away during the week where necessary and will be motivated by opportunities to progress within a specialist field.This is a great role for someone looking to join a tight-knit, friendly and relaxed group of engineers where they can benefit from an excellent company atmosphere and opportunities to train on and learn about advanced renewable heating technologies.The role:

* Split between door-to-door 40 hour, 5 day weeks and 12 hour, 4 day weeks working away on major projects

* Installing mechanical components of large heating systems such as CHP Engines, Pipework, Biomass Boilers, CHP etc

* Carrying out or supporting with lifting work using cranes, contractors or as a team effort

* Using pressfit pipe fittings

* Grinding, shaping and welding metal

* Creating brackets to support installations

The person:

* Mechanical fitting experience

* Experience working in a heavy industrial environment e.g power plant, steelworks, manufacturing sites etc

* Full driving license

* Comfortable with working away when required

* Welding experience (desirable)

* SSSTS (desirable)

* IPAF/PASMA (desirable)
